Long reach of #HurricaneBeryl felt the upper Gulf Coast of Texas. Hay has been baled and hauled to dry spots. #sorghum and #corn will weather the storm in the field as harvest was only just beginning.

#HurricaneBeryl track continues to drift east. As the storm approaches we know that many #rice farmers have begun draining the permanent flood from their crop in preparation for dry down and harvest. For many crop lodging is the primary concern at this stage.

While #HurricaneBeryl created havoc for farmers in the field prior to harvest. A major blow was also done to the infrastructure that many rely on to store their crop following harvest. This is the United Ag Hillje, TX location following the storm this morning.

This harvest season, one photo tells a profound story. After #HurricaneBeryl's winds, farmers are "deadheading"—harvesting damaged corn in one direction, then returning empty-handed. This method underscores their resilience but also increases the time and cost of their labor.

A crazy whirlwind of travel today that included tomatoes, soybeans, and even this banana disease trial. Never a dull moment in #agriculture. #Florida
