Argentine stem weevil is a massive pasture pest with AR37 endophyte being the most effective plant-based control. Weevils can lay eggs in ryegrass with AR37, but the alkaloids in AR37 kill the larvae reducing the population. A great example of nature’s bio control in action.

Had an amazing night at the NZ Hi-Tech Awards celebrating innovation. Still in Auckland because there is currently no hi-tech solution to fog! Didn’t take home an award but a huge congratulations to Robotics Plus for taking out the AgriTech section ( and others!)
