#DomesticAbuse doesn't have an age limit. Our Inspire To Change team is presenting at their local Age UK Barnsley conference &addressing domestic abuse among the elderly.

So proud of my mum Tricia Watters who works so hard as a volunteer to make a difference in the lives of older people! This conference sounds amazing- there’s not enough awareness or action about the rising occurrences of familial abuse of older people who often suffer alone!

Our conference, No Age Limit: The Hidden Face of Domestic Abuse, brought together key partners to raise awareness around domestic abuse in older households and how we improve our local offer.

Lots of interesting and productive engagement - thanks to all who came and supported.

This week we will be presenting at this important conference addressing domestic abuse among older people. Older people are more likely to experience abuse from adult family members and be subject to economic abuse. Age UK Barnsley

Great to visit Age UK Barnsley this morning to see their new Elizabeth Activity and Care Centre, which offers everything from beauty treatments to choir, bingo and quizzes.

It was lovely to meet with staff and residents, and even have a game of sit down table tennis!
