This is huge. Most of our rubbish is plastic. Most of it is burnt. Then we inhale it. We need to stop this landfill in the sky by capping plastic production globally.

One of the ways plastic grass fibers & #microplastics migrate off plastic turf fields? On the socks of players. These are game-day-only socks. After washing. After a soccer game at City of Santa Clara’s Reed & Grant Sports Park. This is the tape used to try to remove some of it.

Hmm. And some argue #artificialturf doesn’t create microplastics. The scarier fact is that this is just what you can see. Imagine all the nanoplastics that you CAN’T see!! And our kids are breathing these in as they strenuously exercise & play sports. Our kids deserve better!!!
