What happened to protecting British children?

Genocides can't be paused. The world must intervene to force a halt to a genocide.

I'm following this dilemma being faced by Mothin with great interest. It's no secret that Muslims tend to be socially conservative. Is there space on the left to create a broad enough church to allow Muslims an authentic space, just as it does all other minority groups?

Minorities aren't privileged with the black and white clarity of an obvious political home on either the left or right the way you are, Matthew. To be quite frank, the left needs to address this huge elephant in the room.

No we're not "anti-west". My politics are informed by a deep concern for nation/society, in a way I feel left politics sometimes fail, beyond economic concerns. The fabric of society is kept intact socially and culturally as much as it is by addressing economic concerns.

So much of the art of politics is the principled unity in action of people who have real disagreements. Culture warriors simply do not believe that the working class - with all its internal differences and uneven consciousness - is the agency of change. 5/

2/ Or indeed conformity. Reforms is successful with the white working class for a reason, to provide a serious challenge to Reform, the left has to step out of its echo-chambers and cliques and actually listen to the people; all the working class, and all minorities.

This here is a prime example of where my politics differ to "the left". If my constituents are worried or concerned about this, I want to listen and act on their concerns. Not shut them up by calling them racist. Society is in desperate need of open and safe dialogue.

These empty threats won't achieve anything. Firstly, Palestinians have the UNCONDITIONAL right to self-determination. Secondly, children in Gaza will start dying in their masses in the coming days and weeks if the international community doesn't intervene immediately.

The civilians being starved in Gaza will not survive to September!!! They need immediate international intervention to save their lives, NOW!

Recognition of Palestinian statehood should not be a bargaining chip, nor used as distraction, the IPC have today declared famine in Gaza. Civilians, especially children, will die in the coming days if the international community, including the UK, do not intervene, immediately!

I am sick of hearing that casual racism is a working class thing. The ruling class used racism to oppress for centuries, the middle class benefitted. Meanwhile black & brown people found their allies in the working class communities that they made home, and in the workplace.

Jeremy Corbyn really has you all rattled, so much so that you're signing up as Jeremy Corbyn. How odd. Are we actually going to try and pretend Corbyn isn't the most popular, most genuine, and most loved politician this country has? The joke is on you.
