A popular figure from a bygone era, Middleton's exclusion appears to be correct -- he's in the Hall of Very Good tier in PPS. Peak finish in goals was 7th & points 10th & got MVP votes in just 2 seasons. Fantastic, respected career & player but falls short statistically.

PPS *loves* Letang #LetsGoPens Has him at 274 vs. modern D standard of 259 & as the #1 D in NHL at one point in his career. Partial seasons from major injury mask many elite years. Will he emerge among peers Chara, Doughty, Keith, Weber, Karlsson, Hedman, Burns, Josi, etc?

Burns should be elected to the #HHOF. He finished 1st, 2nd & 3rd in Norris Trophy voting & is 12th all-time among D in PTS despite peaking in very low scoring era. His reputation as an offense-first D may hold him back, but a long, productive career with a great peak = HHOF.
