7 weeks ago Maximus arrived to us in agony. He had been living on a short chain and was totally neglected and sick. It’s hard to believe what he is like today. He was also getting some very good news… (1/7) 🧵

His biggest issues were his skin and weight. We’ve been able to fix those. His ears were also so infected after being cut off we thought he could be deaf but he isn’t (2/7)

I had to test Maximus this morning out and about. He has now put back on 25lbs and is a picture of health. (3/7)

The good news is he has fantastic recall. He doesn’t want to go more than 20 yards from humans. I think he was scared I was going to leave him today on our run (4/7)

This was Maximus when we got back. Totally exhausted. He has one of the best sploots in the business (5/7)

We are testing him in lots of situations like being in a car also today. The reason being… a couple are coming to see him next week with a view to giving him a forever home. They are experienced dog owners and fell in love with Maxi. It could be his big break (6/7)

7 weeks difference. A whole new life awaits for Maximus. You love to see it 🥰🙏 (7/7)

3 months ago I got a message about a street dog with horrible stomach injuries. When we finally caught her she was utterly broken. I can finally say she has fully recovered. Amazing to see… (1/7) 🧵

I called her Chance because I dreamt that she might have a second chance at life. Her wounds were horrific. She was in agony (2/7)

Over a period of weeks we were about to heal her physical wounds but the mental ones would take longer. Chance had lost all faith in humans (3/7)

She came to live with me and my other rescue Hank. She was still very nervous but we’ve worked hard myself and Hank and it’s hard to believe her now… (4/7)

This is little Chance today resting in her beloved hammock. (5/7)

She’s so relaxed now she even likes to show her stomach off. Hank makes her feel safe and at 10 years old she has her first ever home. A life on the streets is a thing of the past (6/7)

These are the same folks who want overtime to work an actual 8 hour shift they are already being paid for … 🇨🇦🆘
