Today marks the 32nd anniversary since the return to our spiritual home at The Valley. 5th December 1992, a great day in our history. Here's a photo from that glorious day. Not changed much have I ? Happy BTTV day to one and all.

Looking at that photo reminds me of a convo I had about 18 months ago with a long serving member of staff. They genuinely thought I'd given up the church to join the club. They said to me 'why did you give up being a 'pie & liquor to join the club'. How I laughed😅 .Me a vicar !

Half-ten yesterday a drug-addled guy in Valley Grove brandishing a machete. We persuaded him to hand it over & called police. We saw little of game itself, but 7 ejections & another arrest, time 4 home. Little festive cheer. A great team with me though. Welcome to Charlton!

Very sad to hear the news about Jimmy. He looked after me when in Spain with Charlton. Got food poisoning & was stuck in my room. He came in few times & made me drink something no idea what, but it worked. Lovely man who will be sadly missed . Condolences to his family & friends
