Adamawa's afforestation drive and innovative approach to project implementation, the support and buy-in by the state government, are part of the indices that have put the state way ahead of other states in the project for the year 2023.

Speaking shortly after the awards the State Project Coordinator Dr Ibrahim Chinda ibrahim denis chinda said the credit goes to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri @fintirri for his foresight, support of the project, and concern for the environment.
