...RECORD LOW SET IN OMAHA, NEBRASKA... As of 5 AM CDT, the temperature at Omaha Eppley Airfield had dropped to 19 degrees. That sets a new record low for the date. The previous record was 20 degrees from 1972. It could still get colder.

New record lows have already been set early this morning: Huron, SD - currently at 10°F Mitchell, SD - currently at 14°F Sioux City, IA - currently at 18°F Temperatures are still cooling so it is likely that these locations, as well as others, will get even colder 🥶.

***RECORD*** The Record low of 28 set in 1972 was broken this morning as Kansas City International reached 25 degrees. This would be a normal low for December 12th and makes for the first hard freeze of the season which on average occurs on 11/5. #NotNormal #RecordBreakingKC
