As a principal, I’m supposed to be an “instructional leader.” But I told our teachers this week, that I don’t know how to do that in the middle of a pandemic. Right now is not the best time to talk about programs, plans, data points, and “best practices.” It is time to support.

This weekend’s Covid case counts, hospitalization/ICU numbers and severe outcomes are deeply troubling. Even more worrisome is the exponential rate of growth. We need bold action from the Government of Alberta now, in addition to all the things that we need to do in our families.

Spring on the reserves can be a doozy. This is a road outside my clinic, it is not paved and this is a federal (Health Canada) building. The mud tracks inside and is hard on the building. Peoples roads become impassible and is hard to deliver water. This is the reality.
