1. Wightman ran the perfect race—covered every move, and stayed on the rail on EVERY bend of the race (conserving distance)

2. Jakob ran the first 3 bends in lane 2 (3.88m x 3 = 11.64m extra distance), and then led from 800 out giving others the slip stream
