Team Barracuda participated in "Where are the stars located?" Amplify lesson. Scale was 1cm equals 1 light year. (1 light year equals 6,000,000,000,000 miles!) A great appreciation for how far away the stars are! Greg Taranto Ph.D. Mark Abbondanza, PhD Kelly Kramer 108 North Strabane Intermediate School

Mrs. Kallock’s 4th graders are kicking off Unit 2 with a Coat of Arms project! In the Middle Ages, families used Coats of Arms to represent them. Now, we’re creating our own to showcase what makes us who we are! These will hang proudly on their class “fridge” for the whole unit!

Today, we stand together in support of one of our finest, Belinda, as she bravely battles cancer. She’s got this, and we’ve got her back! Proud to see everyone rocking their Pink Out shirts. #BigMacsBigPossibilities #WeAreSouthCentral

A big shoutout to Mrs. Geist and her students at the high school for inviting us to Zoo in the Classroom. Mrs. Lloyd and Mrs. Shaffer’s classes had an amazing time exploring and learning with some fascinating animals. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!

Students in Ms. Ponce’s science class are exploring how animals use their senses to gather information about their environment in their vision and light unit. In this experiment, they used all their senses (except taste) to investigate the contents of various canisters.
