Five years ago today Ruby had her stem cell transplant. A 12/12 match from an anonymous donor.  All we knew was that he was  a 33 year old man from the UK. A kind & generous soul who’d signed up to the register at some point and then gotten the call to say he was a match. 🧵

We are urging everyone to set up a Power of Attorney for welfare decisions. Our stats show that around a third of patients are delayed in their discharge from hospital because they don’t have one in place. That means more time in hospital and away from home comforts. (1/3)
