A terrific keynote by Jayati Ghosh calling on feminist economists to resist the 'neoclassical creep' in thorization/modeling, fashionable but ethically dubious methods like RCTs, & to embrace heterodox macro, new measures of wellbeing, rights-based policies, and to build alliances

V interesting paper. Women engaged in paid work had far lower support for the right-wing government in Turkey than women in unpaid work. The shift toward more progressive views among women in other countries, as they enter the labor market has been documented, w/ few exceptions

It was wonderful to welcome friend and colleague Jayati Ghosh to Levy Institute for her keynote address. At the conference, the Levy team presented a Macro-Micro model integrating SFC modeling of macro policies with a distributional analysis of their effects. Stay tuned for more.
