It’s also cool seeing the even tinier ‘misovortices’ at larger wave numbers/finer scales. This radar image from #Melissa shows these finger-like appendages as they also mix + diffuse between the eye and eyewall. “And little whirls have lesser whirls, and so on to viscosity…”
