It's Family Health History Month! Culture and tradition are a large part of our family history, but did you know our health history is important too? It's not always easy, but discussing our relatives' health can help us understand our own health& take action to reduce our risks.

To celebrate Black History Month we want to recognize a brilliant early voice in our field. This quote was taken from a 1985 article authored by Dr. Lorna Wilkerson, one of the first Black genetic counselors. At that time, Black GCs barely made up more than 0.1% of the workforce.
