Today was spent on a rubbish (trash) heap rescuing 2 dogs here in Thailand. It’s hard to believe how they have to live. Things are looking up for them already… (1/8) 🧵

There were 12 dogs living here in total. We started by focusing on the one who looked the worst. She had badly matted fur and seemed quite angry (2/8)

There were dogs of all shapes and sizes in the rubbish dump. We were able to get them all medicines, food and health care. They are also marked down for sterilizing… (3/8)

It turns out they are mum and daughter. Both were crawling in fleas and struggling with the Thai heat. Mum was especially bad. She needed shaved as skin was so bad (5/8)

We got them all medicines and cleaned up. They fleas and ticks all came off them. They have some health issues but nothing untreatable. Mum softened up when she saw we meant to harm (6/8)

They are both lovely and clean now and although mum doesn’t look her best she will be feeling better. They’ll be lovely fluffy and friendly dogs in no time. They’ll have their very own grassy play area with hand delivered dinner. (7/8)

Both of these dogs will now be up for adoption. The mum is called Bubbles and the daughter is Prosecco. Amazing what a difference 8 hours can make for their lives. They’ll sleep well tonight 🥰🙏 (8/8)
