Two days of intense writing workshop in preparation for a special issue on “same-sex marriage and migration” came to an end! Intellectually exciting conversations and a lot of fun!

Two whole days to think and talk together with these amazing people and scholars - sometimes being an academic is pure joy.

I received an award from JHI program for the Arts (UofT) to bring internationally known cartoonist #abonsamcartoons to speak about/exhibit his work (fully funded). Canada au Ghana denied his visa (2x) saying they dont believe he will return and he has no "legitimate purpose in Canada."

Organizing a half-day event on queer migration and displacement in today's Europe at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. We have space for one or two more presentations. The event is on October 24 in Berlin. If you would like to present your work, please get in touch with me.
