Today is #WorldTurtleDay - a day to celebrate turtles and tortoises - and we happen to have a tortoise patient here at AWLA! This female tortoise, Pistachio, was found outside with large cracks in her upper shell (carapace). We're happy to report that Pistachio is on the mend!

This poor snapping turtle recently found himself *very* stuck in a storm grate, but thanks to Officer Votroubek, he was removed from the grate and safely released back into the creek!
