With funding from UNHCR Somalia,AVORD constructed 78 RHUs for #Refugees, Returnees, and the most Vulnerable persons in the host community in #kismayo. The project aimed to improve the living conditions of the people, & to curb protection risks associated with overcrowding.

In #Lawiiley, the community is constructing shelters funded by AVORD after the IDPs purchased land and relocated there. #TenureSecurity for #DACs means more opportunity for other actors to invest in infrastructures such as housing, schools and latrines

AVORD with the support from UNHCR Somalia , distributed the second phase of essential life-saving standard NFI kits in Baidoa, targeting 161 HHs among the flood-affected IDPs in Baidoa. In collaboration with the State IDP Commission SWS commission for Refugees and IDPs , and Common Pipeline partners.

AVORD with the support from UNHCR Somalia and in close collaboration with SWS commission for Refugees and IDPs, successfully reached 550 flood affected IDP households with complete standard NFI kits in Baidoa. This response aimed at enhancing living conditions & rebuild their shelters with dignity.
