As the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs Health Subcommittee prepares for tomorrow's hearing on the importance of National Standards of Practice within Veterans Health we want to reiterate that Veterans deserve access to high quality care A thread 🧵:

Hospitals and other facilities should be able to choose the delivery model that best meets their needs. Currently, many hospitals outside the VA are provided greater flexibility than those in the VA.

VA national standards would allow for greater flexibility. AANA supports having #CRNAs and our physician anesthesiologist colleagues providing direct care to patients.

Only with all providers working to the top of their education and training can we reduce wait times and increase access to care for veterans.
