CRNAs are certified and trained professional nurses who administer more than 50 million anesthetics to patients every year. For the sake of their care, we have to cut the red tape. (2/4)

That’s why I’m calling on Veterans Affairs to permanently allow CRNAs to practice to the full extent of their education and training. The data show that it can help lower costs and address workforce shortages – all while maintaining the same quality of care. (3/4)

Proud to sponsor legislation to formally recognize CRNA’s in New York. This bill will provide better healthcare access in rural and under-staffed parts of the state. It’s time for New York to join the 49 other states that already do this! cc: NYSANA spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/capital-re…

Hospitals and other facilities should be able to choose the delivery model that best meets their needs. Currently, many hospitals outside the VA are provided greater flexibility than those in the VA.

VA national standards would allow for greater flexibility. AANA supports having #CRNAs and our physician anesthesiologist colleagues providing direct care to patients.

Only with all providers working to the top of their education and training can we reduce wait times and increase access to care for veterans.
