Great to have the Minister for Defence People and Families visit us at ATR Winchester. Rt Hon Andrew Murrison VR MP joined recruits and staff yesterday evening to try out the new menu.

With healthier options, more choice and at lower prices this looks like a positive step.

Launched this week, our people will be able to enjoy more varied, healthier and better value food as part of the new Defence Catering Strategy. Defence Minister Rt Hon Andrew Murrison VR MP visited CO ATR Winchester yesterday to meet with military personnel and review the new offer.

A fantastic day for the 105 new soldiers from Anzio Company who completed their British Army 🇬🇧 basic training in front of their friends and families. Really proud of everything they have achieved.

After some time away Army Training Regiment Winchester is now back on X.

The Regiment is now part of The Soldier Academy. The Soldier Academy brings all Soldier Basic Training (Regular, Reserve and Junior Entry) into one organisation.

Anzio Company delivered 87 trained soldiers to the Field Army today. 14 hard weeks’ work from our terrific staff led to this day. Well done and thank you. Commander Field Army was our Inspecting Officer.

In other news, some ATR W lunatics decided to do a duathlon today. It sounded highly unpleasant. I have no photos as the whole thing sounded too disturbing. Andy, Nat, Mr Richards and Bdr Grist: well done.

ATR W hosted F Company, Scots Guards at football this afternoon. We escaped with a win on penalties. Well played to both teams.
