APPG Chair Apsana Begum MP joined a panel discussion on The Push, a two-part Channel 4 documentary which focuses on the tragic murder of Fawziyah Javed. Part 2 of the documentary will air on Channel 4 tonight at 9pm.

Today we're part of a meeting of the APPGDVA with Women in Prison and Women's Aid on the unjust criminalisation of survivors of #DomesticAbuse, chaired by Apsana Begum MP and Baroness Hodgson

In light of the general election, our upcoming meeting on workplace support for survivors of domestic abuse - which was scheduled for Monday 17th June - will have to be rescheduled. We look forward to hosting the meeting once Parliament is sitting again - stay tuned for updates!

Domestic abuse impacts survivors in the workplace and the steps an employer takes is crucial. The Government could do more to increase life-changing support for survivors at work.

Last week the APPG held a meeting with colleagues speaking from Employers' Initiative on Domestic Abuse, Trades Union Congress & Women's Aid, who shared their valuable insights on ‘Workplace Support for Survivors’ We'd like to thank Apsana Begum MP for chairing the meeting as well as everyone who attended.
