I'm shocked and saddened by Rick's passing. I'm thinking back to us all rehearsing in my bedroom in Stanley Road, Woking. To all the pubs and clubs we played at as kids, to eventually making a record. What a journey! (1/4 - P.W)

As a teenager, Ralph Ottey wanted to be at Churchill’s right-hand, so in 1944 he joined the RAF. Born in Jamaica, he travelled to Yorkshire to begin his training. He was assigned to 617 (Dambusters) Squadron, later becoming the chauffeur to a senior officer in the RAF.
