Of course it’s the young people in Wigan who lose out here. It has always been this way and I can’t ever see things changing Rose Bruford College Very sorry for the students who are waking up to this and wondering if they have a future in the arts. I wish you all the very best of luck.

And its happened again. Solidarity with the students and staff affected by this, it seemed like the new course that started after we left was really exciting and cutting edge in terms of actor training so it’s a massive shame to see its come to this.

it’s also saddening to see this affordable alternative to big city drama school training disappear. A ginormous hole left in the sector, not many IF any alternatives to chose now for those seeking conservatoire training away from the expense of the inner cities. The gap increases

Drama Schools are an expiring industry it seems. In a few decades there’ll only be a few left. My thoughts with everyone affected.

Wow. The fact that I know people who were in their first year when ALRA closed and are now going through this again in their third ... well, it's quite something. Hoping everyone involved gets the support they need. ❤️

Inevitable - but a real shame in terms of actor training offers beyond London.

We're sad to hear that Rose Bruford North will be closing. As one of only a handful of drama schools in the North, this is a great loss. We've had the pleasure of working with students at Rose Bruford Wigan and hope they can be supported to finish their training

at this point. are we even surprised? solidarity to the students affected by the closure of RBC Wigan as someone who was by ALRA North’s closure two years ago. yet again, decisions made that impact working class people’s hopes and dreams.

if i had a pound for every time a drama school closed it’s doors in the trencherfield mill in wigan, i’d have £2. which isn’t much but it’s strange that it’s happened twice

It’s really the end of days for drama schools. So many closing and axing staff. Scary for this industry.
