21-23 Décembre 1962. Visite du Roi Mwambutsa IV en Israël. Le Roi Mwambutsa IV fut le premier dirigeant africain à visiter le jeune état d'Israël depuis son indépendance (Indépendance obtenu en 1948) ; il reçut un accueil très chaleureux.

Le maire de Jérusalem à l'époque déclara que c'est le premier souverain qu'ils reçoivent depuis deux mille neuf cents ans (Cfr Archives le monde).
