🌍🤝Today, the Joint European Initiative to Strengthen Medical Specialization in Ethiopia held its 2d Steering Committee meeting. Together with AECID Ethiopia, AICS Addis Abeba and Ministry of Health ETHIOPIA we reaffirmed our commitment to resilient healthcare through improved training programmes.

GBV is not just physical. In Ethiopia, 13.3% of women have experienced psychological abuse, including insults, threats, and controlling behaviour. In Sub-Saharan Africa this number goes up to 29.4%. Addressing all forms of violence is essential #16Days #EndGBV #AUEU

Globally, 40-68% of girls with disabilities experience sexual violence before age eighteen. They are also largely excluded from education and health services. Increasing the availability of support services for GBV survivors living with disabilities is a priority. #16Days #EndGBV
