I do both, and - like the sports themselves - they are a different kind of challenge. Baseball is so much about having a ton of preparation, and while you have to prepare well for hockey, it's really more about timing the tidbits in the little space you get from the game.

Agreed. Any sport is definitely harder to call alone, but baseball and softball gets tougher at a much higher rate than hockey or, say, volleyball or lacrosse where there's more continuous action.

Wonder if that regret includes regretting the three rings he won on the other side of The City That Never Sleeps at the end of his career...
