Happy #Fossilfriday! I'm currently working the best preserved #turtle shells found by the DDM. It even has a few cervical vertebrae tucked into the shells left side. Still have some hard sandstone left to remove but looking forward to seeing this all cleaned up #paleontology

Happy #fossilfriday! I've been fixing up some #trex teeth. Some of them are hopefully being used for lab class for Carthage College. #Paleontology #dinosaurs #museums

Happy #FossilFriday! Exploring @RBINSmuseum and to no surprise was stunned by the gorgeous hall of #Iguanodon. A large museum that's easy to get lost in, in all meanings of the phrase. #dinosaur #paleontology

Wrapped up week 2 in München at the Bayerische Staatsammlung für Paläontologie, with what's, arguably, the most important specimen of the whole trip - Aigialosaurus, the Ur-Mosasaur!! Hard to tell from this photo, but this little guy still has LEGS! #FossilFriday

Happy #Fossilfriday! I am pleased to announce that I've accepted a full time preparator position with the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology and will start working with them this June! This museum is home to many wonderful fossils such as the Borealopelta mummy and Black Beauty #Trex. #paleontology

We were *beyond* thrilled to see Kuru kulla, a dromeosaur species named by our very own James & Alex, featured in today's episode of #PrehistoricPlanet !!! Check out our thoughts about it in our new video, link below!

Happy #Fossilfriday! My last and probably favorite project I worked on at the DDM was this #turtle carapace and cervical vertebrae! It's the most complete carapace in collections and has a high level of preservation especially on the underside. #paleontology

Looking for some one-on-one quality time with our dinosaurs? The Museum’s busiest hours are typically in the morning and afternoon, but we’re open daily in the summer until 9 p.m.! We recommend people seeking a quieter, more relaxed experience consider visiting in the evening.

The Carthage Institute of Paleontology is facing an existential threat: funding for our preparator ends THIS JULY & we need to find an alternative to save the program & its fossils. PLEASE SHARE WIDELY. Our goal is to reach someone with the resources to help.

Our preparation technician Brady holds a 52-million-year-old fossil block on this #FossilFriday. This slab preserves palm fronds below two complete Notogoneus fish specimens. It was found in the Green River Formation.

It took our technician Brady about three months to prepare this Euoplocephalus skull. #FossilFriday This ankylosaur specimen was discovered in Dinosaur Provincial Park. The animal would have lived during the Late Cretaceous.
