It’s Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week and we’re celebrating all the amazing DSPs that help drive our mission forward. Tanya Guthrie has been with us since January of 2024. To people looking into this field, her advice is to be kind, patient and loving.

For 22 years Yvette Bailey has been supporting AHRC residents, regularly taking them on trips to amusement parks, festivals and shows. She even organizes weekly cooking lessons to help them develop their daily living skills. “I really enjoy what I do,” said Yevette. #DSPRW2024

Louisa Prince cares for people supported with residential services. In total, she’s been with the agency for eight years. She recalls the years fondly, with many heartfelt memories. “At the end of the day, I love my job. I love taking care of people.” #DSPRW2024

Anna Giaramita joined us as a DSP just before the pandemic hit and for the past four years, she's been spearheading one of our most exciting programs, the One Stop Gift Shop. "When they leave and say, 'I had a great day today' that's what makes it worth it to me."

We had a wonderful Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week! Thank you to everyone who participated in our call for shout-outs, you’ve shared some incredibly touching messages, and thank you to our DSPs.

We had so much fun yesterday at bowling. We spent time with friends, enjoyed a few rounds of games, and shared pizza and prizes. Check out the party animals who won the “Best Dressed” prizes for our zoo-themed tournament. 🦁🦒🐘

Everyone had a great time at the annual guardianship luncheon on Sunday. People supported by guardianship services enjoyed a wonderful sports-themed event with their families, support staff, and guardianship committee members.
