Students in Ms. Aruna's class celebrated the week by making a "Giving Tree."

At AFM the staff appreciation lunch was extra special this year since it was catered by our own Erdkinder students. What a treat!

Parents enjoyed our "Come Get Cozy and Get a Lesson" event at AFM in December. Hot chocolate and lessons from their children made the morning very special.

Our Erdkinder students have been collaborating on a project depicting the planets in our solar system.

At Annie Fisher Montessori we were honored this week to be named a National Magnet School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America. Congratulations to our excellent staff, devoted students, and caring families.

Art teacher Liza Martin has been featuring the work of African American artists. This week students studied the colorful work of Alma Thomas and completed their own pieces in watercolor. Hartford Public Schools

PTO Winter Dance celebration at AFM on Friday! All enjoyed the music, games, crafts, food and good company.

Fourth Grade AFM student Soumil Jain has qualified for the CT Geography Bee. In order to qualify he had to beat other students who competed at our school and take an on-line test. Only the top 100 students in the state qualify. Congratulations, Soumil!

AFM teachers Dan Duesing and Alexia Zuliani spoke this weekend at OrganiConn, Northeast Organic Family Association of Connecticut’s annual conference. They highlighted their work with our students and meeting the need of the adolescent for meaningful work.
