Arizona is currently facing a $1.8 billion budget shortfall, which means possible cuts to public education, housing, childcare & more.

All this while we're spending $1 billion a year on vouchers & $2 billion a year on tax cuts for the rich.

Our state deserves better.

The AZ Dept of Ed recently informed school districts that their preliminary Title 1 funding allocations, meant to support students in poverty, would be cut by 20%. And as a result, districts across the state are canceling programs and laying off staff.

No matter how you look at it, #vouchers undermine strong public education and student opportunity. They take scarce funding from public schools—which serve 90% of students—and give it to private schools—institutions that are not accountable to taxpayers. bit.ly/43DqLj8
