We want to thank Jewish Grand Rapids & Temple Emanuel Grand Rapids for coordinating a moving October 7 commemoration on Saturday. Our Regional Director, Elyssa Schmier, spoke about the importance of taking action at a moment when even small gestures can make a big difference.
What was reported in POLITICO is offensive and very concerning. But I’m also glad that many leaders, including Elise Stefanik and Congressman Mike Lawler, spoke out strongly and swiftly against these hateful statements. This is what leadership looks like – and is how decency and morality

Information we received from Sen. Elissa Slotkin's office appears to show communications directed at Slotkin were antisemitic in nature. Intimidating elected officials should not be tolerated. We are working in coordination with our ADL Center on Extremism to investigate further.
