19 members of the ACT State Emergency Service are on their way to Taree, NSW to assist with the Mid North Coast Region floods. Volunteers hit the road this morning and will spend three days working with the NSW State Emergency Service helping local communities.

A second deployment of ACTSES volunteers left Canberra this morning, heading for the flood-affected zones near Taree, NSW. They’ll join volunteers who’ve been working with the NSW SES, assisting members of the local community who’ve been impacted by floods.

Volunteers from ACTSES have been working hard over the weekend, to assist local communities near Taree, NSW. In the wake of the devastating floods, teams of ACTSES volunteers travelled to the affected region where they’ve linked up with their NSW SES counterparts.

Volunteers from the ACTRFS are heading north to help in the flood-affected areas on the NSW Mid-North Coast. The ten members left Canberra this morning, and are heading for a staging area in Port Macquarie. They'll be helping clean up water-damaged homes.

The ACTRFS recently conducted an in-depth leadership course, which focused on building the skills of its senior volunteers. Over 18 months, these volunteers completed various training sessions, earning them the Certificate 4 in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision).
