Currently both Canberra Hospital and Calvary Public Hospital emergency departments are extremely busy. We expect this to continue over the coming days as teams across the ACT public health system begin using the new Digital Health Record. 1/3

We will always give priority to the most urgent cases and there will be longer wait times for less urgent cases. This includes for those sicker patients who may arrive after others. 2/3

If you need to visit an emergency department, please do so, but if your need for care is not urgent, please consider an alternative to free up resources in our EDs to provide emergency care. More info: bit.ly/urgent-care-op… 3/3

Just a reminder, the ACT’s emergency departments are very busy. If you need help for a medical condition that isn’t life threatening, there a range of services that don’t involve a trip to the emergency department. For more information visit: bit.ly/urgent-care-op… 2/2
