My big #ELAC2024 take aways today 1. I need to carve out more time for joyful writing. 2. I love the work I get to do with students and love sharing it. 3. I love working with teachers to build practice. 4. Challenging students to work within the grey areas of text is magic.

Nisha’s poetry is engaging, insightful and certainly makes you go “hmm…” Thank you Nisha for your words and the imagery you create with them.

I loved an idea raised by Nisha 🏳️‍🌈 Poet Laureate Emeritus. She discussed the idea that teachers who present joyful media can emancipate students. Not every piece of media needs to be a teen trauma for young adults. More wonderful ideas 💡 from such a brilliant person. ELAC #elac2024
