2008 - 2024 - t20 is such a popular format. People want to see sixes fly.

2024 - we need more balance between bat and ball.

Duh.

If you want balance between bat and ball, watch the format that is designed for it. Don't behave like some champion of T20 and talk of 'balance' and all. This is a game for batters, by batters, of batters. Every time there is a score < 200, it is a disappointment

Exactly ZERO people are interested in bowling. Exactly ZERO people are interested in 'balance between bat and ball' rubbish. Nobody cares. Especially the ppl who cry that they want it.

Be honest and say this constant 6 hitting is overwhelming. Give it time you'll get used to it.

Don't bridge any gap. Create more perfect roads. This is a batter's game. Let them aim for 400 or higher

Lovely thought experiment. Came up with my own list based on the players I saw (on TV, of course) :

1. M. Waugh
2. Greatbatch
3. Richards
4. Aravinda
5. Astle
6. Kapil
7. Klusener
8. Moin
9. Akram
10. Saqlain
11. Ambrose

NEW POD: 'What if T20s were around the 80s and 90s?' We try a fun exercise and pick players from the past who we think would be excellent T20 players.

Fun exercise. This would be my XI, sticking to the rule of not picking the likes of Jayasuriya, Shahid Afridi, Tendulkar etc because they played a lot of T20 cricket:

Aravinda, N Astle, Viv, Lara, Lloyd, Klusener, Kapil, Moin Khan (wk), Akram, Ambrose, Saqlain
