My loved one suffered until their death in ON's collapsing healthcare. ON *is* in crisis. Opinions are my own. Condescension will be matched. @[email protected]

Thesorrynotsorry katie 'Stuck his neck out' and picked up a rookie for peanuts who put a laundry list of 'experienced' GMs to shame. Dubas made Shanny look like a genius while giving 250%. There's something different about the team record after Dubas became GM - can't put my finger on it? 🤔

Just Jen katie A genius?
With what?
One round win in his career?
That's a stellar record?
I get it, he's a nice guy, did a good job, but they've won nothing.
There's nothing different about the team record when it comes to what counts

Thesorrynotsorry katie Are you trying to tell me that the road to the Cup is linear and predictable? Aside from getting into the playoffs - which was accomplished under Dubas every year - it’s a series of measured adjustments to the roster PLUS a multitude of variables going in a team’s favour.

Just Jen katie They
Won
1
Round.
Do you seriously think that regular season points are the barometer for success in pro sports?
They aren’t.

Thesorrynotsorry katie Do you honestly believe winning a Cup is linear? It’s nuts to discount their regular season success (reg season success helps determine eligibility and odds of winning the Cup) and focus exclusively on their variable-ridden post-season success. Both count and inform adjustments.

Just Jen katie Oh God you and linear again.
It's a business, it happens to be a sports business. At the end of the day, the most important thing is winning. Not games, not regular seasons, championships.
That's sport.
That's the only measurement.

Thesorrynotsorry katie Oh God you and pretending it’s linear/predictable again.

You’ve got it all figured out, so I’ll just wait here while you tell me how it’s done. Tell us the winning formula, at long last. Pay attn everyone!

Oh, and did you predict these 4 teams in the CFs? Show me your bracket.

Just Jen katie I didn't predict anything.
You're the one spouting regular season success.
Maybe in your world, participation ribbons are good enough.
In serious sports, especially pro sports it's all that matters.
And the leafs still haven't won.
Bye.

Thesorrynotsorry katie Lol. Of course you didn’t predict anything, proving my point.

You are calling the Leafs a failure for not winning something for which there is no predictable formula.

You’re like a lousy, bitter sports fan screaming at the tv from the couch w/Cheetos-stained fingers and a beer.

Just Jen Thesorrynotsorry katie If they don't win a cup, they are not a success.
Ask any player, any coach, organization member. In non recreational sports there's only one thing that counts.
Winning.
