WEEKEND FORECAST Slightly above average temperatures both days with a period of showers Saturday evening. The start of the weekend is the nicer part as winds will be light with some breaks of sunshine. By Sunday winds turn gusty out of the west-northwest at 40-45mph.

WINDS KICK UP Following a cold front winds ramp up Sunday gusting up to 45mph. Along with that -- colder air moves in which means temps fall throughout the day. A true chill in the air to end the weekend!

Some chilly changes around here for the start of the week. Monday morning will feel like the 20s and 30s as you get ready to head out the door before rush hour.

Up in northern Alaska, in the town formerly known as Barrow, the sun is setting for the next 2 months. Our early sunsets don't seem so bad compared to this.

CHILLY RAIN Temperatures will hold in the low to mid 40s with a round of rain moving in later tonight into the morning rush.

MIDWEEK CHILL Temperatures will stay in the 40s for a 3rd straight day. Early morning rain will give way to a dry, but cloudy afternoon.

DECEMBER CHILL With 3 straight days in the 40s it has felt more like mid December than mid November. Temperatures head back into the 50s tomorrow.

MODERATE DROUGHT After 4 months with below average rainfall we continue to see moderate drought conditions across a large part of the area. We have a few chances of rain before the end of the month.

HALF MARATHON & ROTHMAN 8K Rain that moves in Friday night will linger into Saturday morning making for a wet start to the Philadelphia Half Marathon. By the time the Rothman 8K kicks off at 11am it should be drying out with just cloudy skies. Some sun returns in the afternoon.
