In Year 4, we love reading our end of day prayer. It is an important way of reflecting on what has happened whilst we appreciate our families, friends and education.

Today's collective worship was all about gratitude - recognising the wonderful things in our lives and being grateful for them. Thank you Reverend Philippa as ever!

Our Year 3 class learning all about Volcanoes.

For our last science lesson in Year 4, we did an investigation using water jars and creating songs with different pitches. The pupils made predictions, tested ideas and created their own songs!

The children in nursery were having a lovely time making beautiful art with leaves and paint! We love art at St John's!

Our Harvest Festival assembly today was amazing! We were treated to a fantastic song from our choir, sang together as a school and our kind families contributed so many food items. Thank you to all those involved!

As part of our topic work on Toys, Y1 children got to find out about lots of different toys from the past and the present V&A They also had the opportunity to play with lots of different toys and think about what materials were used to create these toys.

This week's Kindness Cup winner from Year 1 was very deserving. Well done!

Year 4 and 5 have been doing fantastic work with great outcomes around performance in poetry this week. We are really proud of how engaged our pupils have been and how they have developed their presentational oracy. Tower Hamlets Oracy Hub

Our school councillors met up this week to start identifying the many important ways that they can reflect the pupil voice across the school. What a super assortment of pupils from Year 1 to Year 6!

This week for Clergy Collective Worship, Reverend Luke came in to talk about our inviduality, God's love for all of us and how we can leave a lasting legacy with our values. It was interactive, memorable and powerful!

For Remembrance Day, our classes reflected on the importance of the day, the sacrifice made by so many brave people and to consider the world that we want to grow up in. Our pupils observed the two-minute silence impeccably. #lestweforget

Year 4, 5 and 6 went to the cinema yesterday to see 'Bad Guys 2' which was really funny and full of action. The pupils enjoyed it, behaved fantastically and represented the school well. Thank you Vue for having us!

Year 4 are doing really well developing their hockey skills in PE this half-term. Today we practiced passing with accuracy and stopping the ball. Good job guys!
