Today we went back to Camasunary to use our high-resolution Marine Conservation Society #OSPAR method in a 1x1m quadrat . We found 1,061 pieces of #litter, just on the surface! When Antonia Law dug a little deeper, we found layer upon layer underneath - a perplexing scientific and social issue…

Today we took some water samples from different depths at Ainort sea loch and found cotton fibres at 10m depth! Digging out #litter is tough business! We’ve found huge amounts of #fishing rope and #plastic embedded in the matrix of the soil across most of our #skye #beach sites. The ~30m rope in the video was found with crisp packets in it that date it to c.1998! 50 Years of Litter on Skye #beachclean
