Continued strong work by 4th district detectives and officers. Enforcement against possession of illegal guns and those who engage in violent criminal acts such as this will remain a top priority for 4D. This is dangerous work but our officers are ready.

Fortunate to lead a team of tremendous Montgomery County Department of Police officers , supervisors, and professional staff at 4D that create positive impact everyday. I am thankful for the people that make 4D special, both in the department and in the communities that we serve.

Glad to see the decreases in crime during the first part of 2025. There is more work to be done, but we are happy to see the trend in a positive direction.

Out of an abundance of caution, MCPD has increased patrols and visibility around Jewish institutions throughout the county. At this time, there is no known threat. However, we remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and faith-based communities.
