I was out of the State at a national conference when this incident occurred but knew the moment I got back it was my duty after being briefed by staff and on speaking to the Mayor of Pembroke Pines to go to the scene and speak with neighbors letting them know the County is here..

It’s so important to give students an opportunity to intern in my office! These young people are our future and we need to pour into them..whatever I can do to educate, inspire and serve, that’s what I’ll do!

Last night in the District at National Night out against crime in the RiverRun neighborhood was a time for the neighbors and law enforcement as well as other stakeholders to come together for one cause: Community awareness & safety! Thank you RiverRun HOA for organizing!

The Miramar/Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce held their annual Legislative Eggs and Issues breakfast. Businesses owners were able to get updates from municipal, county and state representatives all at one location. Kudos to the Chamber for all they do for our business community

We must have a serious plan of action as far as reliable public transportation for the residents of Southwest Broward which is part of District 7 that I represent. Reliable public transportation is a right not a privilege!

This was a start of making sure we are listening to our residents as well as educating them on various aspects of general aviation. We are committed to implementing new safety measures at Perry airport and getting back to our community with a follow up report in 30 days.

We must and we will do all that we can to improve the safety of our residents who live in the flight path of Perry Airport!
