Chuck Soltys Remember The Fallen Front row center is Bill Walzer. I replaced him as Shark 4. He was from Cleveland so a Buckeye replaced a Buckeye.

When he left he gave me my engraved Zippo. I was his copilot on my 2nd day in slicks. He let me fly while he fired his M-16 out of the left seat at the bad guys.

Dianasugar Remember The Fallen The commissioned officers were all older. They either had a college degree or had been thru OCS and then the officers basic course.

Most Warrant Officers went straight from basic training to flight school. So they graduated HS at 18 & could finish flight school @ 19.
