In corporate life there’s a massive threat to your career. — Your boss has made themself too busy. They aren’t paying attention to you. You alone have to find ways that show how you’ve made a difference. And NO your work doesn’t speak for itself because they aren’t watching.

Adding your perspective to another person’s behaviour blocks understanding. Evaluating behaviour as good or bad, right or wrong, clouds what you see. A more effective stance — All behaviour serves a purpose. Your job to to figure out what they are trying to gain or avoid.

When you are tired &/or stressed your tolerance becomes shorter & your judgement harsher. You won’t give other people the benefit of the doubt. If you’re feeling irritable use it as a cue to walk away. At times the holidays offer a perfect blend to bring out the worst in us.

I hear leader ask… How can we increase engagement? or How do we get people to collaborate? It means people are doing something else. A more interesting pair of questions are; What is it people currently do? and Why are they doing that? Ask those questions to stand out.
