Players: You want to instantly be tougher? Keep your mouth closed when being coached. Be able to take correction without needing to talk back or give excuses & change your body language. You must work at it. This is a mental toughness skill & it takes deliberate practice daily.

To all players that shortcut reps or take it easy in practice when coach turns their back, remember...A winner is someone who works to become a champion all the time, ESPECIALLY when coach isn’t watching.

Players: Learn to control what you can control. When things aren’t going well for you, can you put that aside, maintain great body language & still help your team WIN? Call it mental toughness, maturity, being a great teammate or unselfishness. It’s the ultimate life lesson.
