This thread is spot on. However, as true as it is, given the whole discussion (from what I can see anyway) is based on 'character interpretation' vs canon, I feel that it is lacking in acknowledging the audience's participation in media: how we interpret it/what it means to US.🧵

THIS is why I stress advocating for the return of Sonic's OG character.

Growing up, Sonic was MY inspiration. I ran like him, treated others as he did, and adopted his way of life. I live life thinking, what would Sonic do?
I want that for future generations.
