Amazing discussion today after this #readaloud - students expressed we are all alike because we laugh, cry, hurt, bleed, and love- while we have different personalities we are all human- no one should be oppressed - that’s from the mouths of 4th graders- so proud of them!

Well, it happened, I cried while reading this amazing #readaloud to my class, they cried too- they said it makes them thankful for what they have and to cherish everyday because you never know when it can be your last - I read historical literature so that Ss learn from the past

I am so blessed to work at the school my grandkids attend- today I volunteered the end of my lunch so I could read to my granddaughter’s class- I will never forget how special that was. Chose #OnePlasticBag because of the message of perseverance and ecological awareness

Just finished reading #ALongWalkToWater @LindaSuePark kept my 4/5 grade students on their toes-best book they ever read- now they all want a copy -when you find a book you love you will never want to put it down- so glad I got to share this with them #Waterforsouthsudan

The future is in my classroom- when I talk to students I use their name tags and address them by what they want to be in the future-they can be anything they want to be as long as they put in the work! Keeps me remembering that I can help them achieve their dreams!
