NEW WARNING: A Severe T-Storm Warning is in effect for Jo Daviess and extreme NW Carroll Co. until 11:15pm for potential 60mph wind gusts. A 60mph wind was reported in Dubuque shortly after 10:00pm.

There is a grain bin rescue operation going on now in seward near Pecatonica. We will keep you posted as we learn more details.

Many areas are seeing wind chills dropping close to -40° at this hour, and as the winds pick up, they may drop a few degrees colder before sunrise. Speaking of the increasing winds, it's likely that blowing and drifting will become more of a concern as we go throughout the day.

FROM THE 23 NEWSROOM: Rockford Police are on the scene at East HS for a report of a shooting. At this time, police believe this is likely a false report. Police tweeted they are clearing the high school and are investigating further.
